The Society Journal is an annual publication containing articles, reviews and information on Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries, covering Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

The latest Journal is a Double issue, as you would expect, we have devoted a large part of the Journal to both fires in the Mackintosh Building at the Glasgow School of Art. Our Honorary President, Roger Billcliffe, presents his own research into the events leading to the fires, and Alison Brown has uncovered historic documents from 1913–14 which demonstrate that the School’s design and construction have long been considered a potential fire risk.
